GRID-TIED PV SOLAR SYSTEM with BATTERY BACKUP
This is a depiction of our upgraded Sunscape Solar Grid-Tied PV Solar Electric System with Battery Backup. This type of system is similar to our standard PV system but adds a Charge Controller and a bank of batteries to provide power at night or when the grid is down. The batteries must be protected from the elements and must be constantly cleaned and maintained to prevent corrosion. The cost factor of a Sunscape Grid-Tied System with Battery Backup is approximately 40% more than the same system without the battery backup capability. We don't recommend this type of system unless you encounter frequent power failures or are located in an area where the electric power grid is not accessible.
